Accessible AD App is a smart phone application developed by Accessible AD, the first social business concerned about accessibility in UAE. The App provides validated and crowd-sourced information on the accessibility of public locations around UAE. The app is also the first of its kind to cater to different accessibility needs including physical, hearing, visual and cognitive disabilities. Combining expertly audited accessibility data with user-submitted reviews and ratings, the local community and tourists will be able to move about more confidently, knowing they can arrive and leave any spot without unwelcome surprises that limit access.
Accessible AD aims to enable inclusive communities where everyone’s needs are equally considered and create a world-class lived experience for everyone. We believe that everyone should be able to access and enjoy all services and facilities with dignity and respect and that this will improve social well-being. We provide consultancy and training on accessibility to service and facility providers, to increase the number of accessible places and spaces for people disabilities and their families and friends, to access and enjoy. We also provide information on accessibility on our App, offering a convenient platform so that everyone can make informed choices regarding which services and facilities meet their accessibility requirements. Accessible AD supports promoting UAE as an accessible destination for all.
